Consultation re Academy Status

The schools ran a six-week consultation exercise between Friday 26th May and Friday 7th July 2017.

A comprehensive list of stakeholders was drawn up by the Project Steering Group and included: staff, parents, feeder parents, trade unions, the LA, local councillors, The CE Diocese, other local schools and academy trusts, and regular users of the schools’ premises.

 Written communication was circulated to all stakeholders, interactive presentations were given to staff, drop in sessions were held for parents and 121 sessions organised, where appropriate.

 A full report on consultation was presented to a combined meeting of governors on Monday 17th July. Individual governing bodies then considered all responses for their own school and ultimately made the decision to proceed with the process by submitting applications to convert to the DfE.

 Governors remain committed to keeping stakeholders updated throughout the conversion process.
